Today is day 238 of my 2025-365 Photography Challenge. I am revisiting some old auto racing photos from a few years back that never made it to the light of day. These images this past week feel brand new as they were never edited or shared. While at Buttonwillow covering the USTCC Racing Series I would have the chance to capture other series that shared the track on these weekends. Buttonwillow is a rather flat track just off I 5 in the Bakersfield area. Super hot and dusty and not a lot of beauty, other than the race cars on the track. I wanted to get the sense of motion and speed with these photographs. Slowing the shutter speed down and panning the camera as the cars went by, I was able to capture the cars in all their detail and blur the surrounding area.
